With Sage 300 2022, you can now reserve one or several LanPak user licenses for specific users or third party products.
This feature enables key users or applications to always have access to Sage 300. They cannot be “locked out” because all available licenses are in use. Reserving LanPak licenses reduces the total number of licenses that can be used by other users, because a reserved license can be used only by the user for whom it is reserved.
For example, some add-on products require a LanPak license to communicate with Sage 300. Reserving a license ensures these products will always be able to connect.
Alternately, licenses can be reserved for key users to guarantee availability. For instance, you can make a license exclusive to an executive like a CFO or to ensure a customer support technician can always access Sage 300.
